Gamers make mistakes all the time. When we mess up we hit Restart and play all over again. But in life there’s really only ONE restart button… the Gospel.

“Gospel” means “good news.” Good news to the really bad news that everyone in the world makes mistakes called sins. But these sins are so bad because they mess up our connectivity with God. If that connection stays broken when we die, it’s Game Over forever in a pit no man wants to fall into.

BUT WAIT, there’s GOOD NEWS. God loves you SO MUCH, realizing there’s no way your character could win on its own He created His own Character to help you win. God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to live on this earth and play life to perfection. But though He had no sins of His own, He gave Himself for you, taking on the penalty that you deserved for the mistakes you’ve made.

Jesus was a real person who came to earth. He was beaten, mocked, bruised, and even tortured before they hammered him to a cross by driving nails through His wrists and feet. He hung on that cross until He died a savage death, ….and He did it for you.

Death thought he won. Satan thought the victory was his. The people mourned the passing of their Savior without hope. But three days later God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Death was defeated and the victory was His. Jesus Christ is alive today with all power and authority belonging to Him in Heaven… and He wants to share it with you.

This isn’t a game. The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. That means the fact that we’ve sinned means we all deserve to lose the game of life. But God loves you so much that He’s giving you a FREE +1 UP; A spiritual invincibility item; A true restart that removes every mistake you’ve ever made and grants you eternal life where you can never die…. Call it “GOD-mode.” All you have to do to receive it is confess it and believe it (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). Then God will handle the rest.
It’s that easy. THAT’s the Gospel. That’s the Good News! Eternal life is yours if you grab it?
